[Video] Windows 10 new Start Menu, File Explorer, context menu & more teased by Microsoft

Microsoft CPO Panos Panay posted a video on Instagram today celebrating the Windows 10 crossing 1 Billion active installations. But this video is more than a celebratory video as it gives a glimpse into the future of Windows 10 too.

The video starts with the evolution of Windows from the original Windows  to Windows 10. It then teases upcoming Windows 10 Start Menu with unified look and without Live Tiles in both Light and Dark modes. It also offers first look at what looks like the modern and unified File explorer.

One can also notice new context sensitive menus and updated version of apps like Calendar, Photos, Microsoft Edge and others. Check the screenshots gallery and the original video posted by Panos Panay below.

Recently Microsoft confirmed the upcoming Windows 10 Start Menu re-design explaining that it will emphasize icons and unifying Start Menu visually in place of Live Tiles. Live Tiles will still be available, however, thet will become optional.
