Microsoft last pushed Windows 10 Build 15042 to Insiders in Fast Ring and it took its own sweet time in releasing this build over the last one. So, in between Microsoft seems has made Windows 10 feature complete and the Redstone 2 aka Creators update has reached RTM Escrow stage.
In Windows 10 Build 15042, there are visible cues to that, viz
- There is no Insiders Watermark at the bottom right
- If you check the version using winver, there is not end-date for the Windows 10 Build 15042
So, while it may yet not be the Creators update RTM build, it may well be one of the RTM Escrow builds. RTM Escrow is the stage when a Windows 10 major version reaches feature-complete stage.
We have earlier reported about appearance of Windows 10 version 1703 in many MSDN documentations. So, probably Microsoft would make final Windows 10 Creators Update RTM build out to insiders soon. Once the feedback has been analyzed it will be time for Creators update release to public.
