Windows enthusiast community is already exploring Windows 10X deeply, and has even succeded in porting the Windows 10X emulator image to real hardware like Macbook and Surface Go. In fact one of the devs who ported it to Surface Go, has even posted a tutorial on how to install Windows 10X on real hardware.
Here is a short video of Windows 10X running on Macbook 9.1.

Another dev succeded in porting it to Surface Go, though Microsoft claims that Windows 10X is only meant for foldable dual-screen Windows devices.
It worked! Surface Go successfully flashed with Windows 10X 😄 Touch driver not installed by default, nor WiFi pic.twitter.com/VftAK5bLdb

However, it is not easy to port Windows 10 X onto a Surface Go as admitted by the dev, because video, WiFi and touch drivers need to be ported too.
Flashing Windows 10X on the Surface Go is not for faint of heart; you'll need to inject video, WiFi and touch drivers into the OS image, for a start, and it requires an EFI shell if you want to get out of it and back to regular Windows 10.
