Microsoft has now made the Desktop App Converter available to download and use as part of its Project Centennial. Using this converter Developers will be able to convert their Desktop apps to Universal Windows Store apps and bring to Windows Store.

Desktop App Converter allows developers to bring their desktop apps to UWP. It converts a desktop Windows installer such as MSI or exe to an AppX package that can be deployed to a Windows 10 desktop. The software may collect information about you and your use of the software and send that to Microsoft. You can learn more about Microsoft’s data collection.
