Microsoft is releasing a new firmware update for its Surface Pro 2-in-1 device powered by Windows 10.
Updates for Surface Pro are installed automatically through Windows Update and contain all the previous updates if your Surface doesn’t have them already. Only updates that apply to Surface will be downloaded and installed.
As per the release notes, this update includes support for Microsoft’s Windows 10 S operating system. Windows 10 S is meant for education and it points out that Microsoft could be preparing to offer Surface Pro device with the pre-installed suite for students or teachers etc.

Please keep in mind that these updates are released in stages and not every Surface Pro owner will receive the update at the same time, but it’ll be delivered to all devices over the course of few weeks.
To manually check for updates, go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and check for updates to download and install them.
