Microsoft has started rolling out the August 2020 firmware update for the Surface Pro X.
This update is available for all Surface Pro X devices running Windows 10 May 2019 Update, version 1903, or greater.
As per the official changelog, Microsoft is enabling the ‘Eye Contact’ feature with the latest update.
Powered by artificial intelligence capabilities of the Microsoft SQ1(TM) processor, Eye Contact helps to adjust your gaze on video calls so you appear to be looking directly in the camera on your Surface Pro X.
Eye Contact (with the help of Artificial Intelligence) helps Surface users to make a direct eye with the audience in video calls and chats. This feature applies to any apps that uses the front camera.
However, this feature is only available when your Surface device is in landscape mode.
You can turn on this feature via the Surface app on your device.
