Microsoft recently started replacing the legacy Edge browser with the Chromium Edge browser on Windows 10. And it seems that the Chromium Edge browser has garnered better user acceptability since then, as it has become the second most used Desktop browser surpassing Firefox.
As per the data shared by Net MarketShare for the month of March 2020, Edge has 7.59% of the browser market share as compared to the 7.19% of Firefox.
Google’s Chrome is still the numero uno with 68.5% of browser market share. It is also noteworthy that Chrome has not lost market share from February to March 2020, but rather has made a small gain.
In comparison, both Internet Explorer and Firefox have shed market share from February to March.
So, it is also possible that some of the Internet Explorer users migrated to the Microsoft Edge.
