Microsoft has added a small but important security feature to the Chromium Edge in the Canary channel. The password length in the Edge password manager is now hidden and it resolves a big security loophole present in the Chromium Edge.

The Canary build in question is 83.0.474.0. Check the images posted in the Edge insider forum that explains about the new security feature.

Now the Password Length is hidden in Edge browser’s password manager: edge://settings/passwords

Previously even if you couldn’t see the characters, you could still see how long the password is:
