Microsoft appears to be preparing another visual update for Microsoft Edge, this time focused on the Copilot icon. A newly spotted feature flag in the latest Edge Canary build suggests that the browser could soon receive a refreshed Copilot branding, although the feature is currently inaccessible to regular Insider users.
At the moment, the flag is restricted to Microsoft internal machines and employees, indicating that the company is still testing the change privately before expanding it to Canary testers.
This discovery comes as Microsoft continues its broader effort to align Edge’s appearance with the latest Copilot design language across Windows and Microsoft 365.

The hidden flag doesn’t yet expose the redesigned icon for public testing, but its description clearly points toward an upcoming Copilot icon refresh.
Since the feature is locked behind Microsoft’s internal configuration, enabling the flag on consumer Canary builds currently has no visible effect.
While Microsoft hasn’t officially announced the redesign, internal-only flags often serve as early indicators of features that are still undergoing validation before wider Insider rollout.
