Microsoft has been using its popular Windows operating system and apps for cross-promotion of its various products. The latest in the series of such product promotions is office ads appearing in Microsoft Outlook apps.
A screenshot posted by a well-known Microsoft enthusiast account “Aggiornamenti Lumia” reveals that ads promoting “Microsoft 365 and office apps” are appearing or soon to appear in Outlook apps. The promotional message is available in settings of the Microsoft Outlook.
The ad promotes Microsoft Office with “Do more with Microsoft 365. Premium office apps, ad-free Outlook, extra cloud storage for all your devices, and more”. It also has a link to “Learn more” if you want.
It is not yet clear which all Outlook apps will feature this kind of advertisement but Microsoft is certainly using its reach across platforms to promote related products.
