Today Microsoft has rolled out new system updates for their Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 and Surface 3 LTE devices. The updates brought some improvements to the overall OS and optimization for battery. You can read full description of updates below.
Surface Pro 4
• Improved stability when resuming from sleep or hibernation
• Optimized battery utilization when in connected standby
• Resolved issue where the touch screen remains active when the clipboard is closed against the keyboard
The following updates will be listed as multiple updates when you check for updates in Windows, or when you view your Windows update history after installing the updates:
• Microsoft driver update for Surface UEFI
• Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration
Surface Book
• Improved stability when resuming from sleep or hibernation
• Optimized battery utilization when in connected standby
• Reduced occurrences of unexpected shutdowns while the device is sleeping
• Resolved issue where the touch screen remains active when the clipboard is closed against the keyboard
The following updates will be listed as multiple updates when you check for updates in Windows, or when you view your Windows update history after installing the updates:
• Microsoft driver update for Surface UEFI
• Microsoft driver update for Surface Base Firmware Update
• Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration
Surface 3 LTE
The following update is available for Surface 3 (4G LTE) in Europe and Surface 3 (Y!mobile 4G LTE) running in June:
• improved reliability of mobile broadband connectivity
The update will be listed as “Surface IA7260 Firmware Update” when you view your update history.
This update you can download though ‘Windows Update’ settings on your device.
