Microsoft today pushed a new update to its existing Your Phone app on Insider build of Redstone 5 and 19H1(Redstone 6). With that update users on Windows 10 April Update now can download and install the update from the Microsoft Store.
Your Phone app allows users to tack your photos, messages, and notifications from your Android smartphone directly to your PC. Microsoft demoed and discussed some the great feature of the at the Build 2018.
Now here is the catch, if you are on Windows 10 April Update you will be fine till the installation process. As of now the app simply doesn’t work on PCs running the April Update but it will open just like other apps but won’t perform any of the function as it meant to perform. In a nutshell, Microsoft’s Your Phone app is useless for those running the latest public version of Windows 10.
However, the debut of Your Phone app on PCs running the April Update made one thing clear; the app is not necessarily restricted to the Redstone 5 and users with Windows 10 Update installed on their PC can also take advantage of the feature in coming days.
