Netflix Offline comes to users on Windows 10 PC, no sign on Mobile though

Netflix Offline

Netflix Offline, lets you download movies, trailers, shows etc. from Netflix on your device and watch it later say, without an internet connection or while you are travelling etc. The feature was introduced a few months ago, and has been available on other major platforms like Android and iOS.

As of now, if you have a Netflix subscription and have installed the app on your Windows 10 PC, update it and you should be able to see a download icon next to a movie trailer, or a full movie etc. Click on it and it will start downloading the movie etc. right away.

Where to find it? Go to hamburger menu and there you will see My Downloads section. Cool!

However, not all movies are available for download and if you may need to check what other are, there is a Available for Download section where you can explore all the downloadable content and choose to download it.

I’m not so sure the Mobile version is an UWP. It’s look make me feel it’s a Windows 8.1 “Universal” app, not an UWP.

If this is the case, I’m sorry, but if that is the case it’s another code base.

Now, why not releasing the UWP version on mobile? It’s not just release. There is work to do to make the app run on mobile. Mostly adapt screen sizes, but it’s work.

    • Yes, the mobile app is somewhat old thing and I too can’t seem to understand why not update it to align with PC.
