Skype desktop app has received a new update which introduced a big new feature. In a recently released Skype Insider preview build, Microsoft introduced a way to blur the background in video calls. The new build has hit all the major desktop operating system, Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
Whether you want the focus of the call to only be on you, or you’re in a busy place that doesn’t need to be seen, blur my background will subtly blur everything except you!
After installing the new update, just right click on your own video to blur the background. Another way would be through the new on-hover video settings. Under this setting, you will have options to turn on blur while calling on Skype.
As the feature has made its way to the Insider preview build, we can expect it to go live for the public within the next few days.
