Microsoft has quietly released a new firmware update for its 2015 Surface Book device.
The new frmware update (April 30 release) mostly addresses security and improves the system stability across various hardware parameters.
These updates are available as a “Gradual Roll-out” for all Surface Book devices running Windows 10 October 2018 Update, version 1809, or newer.
As this is a gradual roll out, users should see a prompt to update automatically over a period of time.
However, you can also manually force the download by following the steps below.
1. Go to the Start  button and then select Settings.Â
2. Go to the Update & Security option that opens to Windows Update and click on Check for Updates.
