A custom MobileShell has been in works for smartphones like Lumia 950 and 950 XL that are running Windows 10 on ARM through porting. While Windows 10 on ARM on Lumia 950/XL is every enthusiast’s dream come true given Microsoft killed the mobile version already.
But it is not always the most intuitive experience to run the Desktop OS on a smartphone and thus the developer community wanted to develop a custom MobileShell for such smartphones. While the MobileShell has been out already for some time the video in the tweet below demos its version in works and rewritten in C++ and Xaml islands.
