We last reported via our sources that while Surface Phone aka Surface Andromeda hardware is in ready stage, software readiness remains a big question. But if recent appearances of the Windows Core OS Andromeda SKU in codes of recent Windows 10 preview build and SDK is any indication, Microsoft is already working to bring Windows Andromeda with either Windows 10 Version 1803 (slim chances) or Version 1809.
Recently we saw Windows Andromeda version getting defined in the Windows 10 Preview SDK 17095. Now, traces of Andromeda SKU have reportedly been found in the first Redstone 5 preview Build 17064. We know that Andromeda OS is the mobile composable shell + modular Windows Core OS that will power foldable dual-screen Surface Phone/Surface Andromeda device.

While we don’t have a screenshot, some other tipsters too have confirmed that they were able to notice Windows Core OS SKUs in the code of Build 17604. So, it seems Microsoft may be planning to launch Andromeda SKU as part of Windows Core OS either with the Redstone 5 (Version 1809) or may be between the release of Version 1803 and Version 1809.
