While Microsoft is going to end the support for Windows 7 today on January 14, there is some good news for those who still won’t upgrade to Windows 10 and want to stay on Windows 7. Google announced that it will support its Chrome browser for minimum 18 months more on Windows 7.

Google has mentioned this in its official blog post.

We have enterprises covered, even if they haven’t yet made the full move to Windows 10. We will continue to fully support Chrome on Windows 7 for a minimum of 18 months from Microsoft’s End of Life date, until at least July 15, 2021.

Microsoft followed this up to make announcement of its own about 18 more months of support for its Edge broser on Windows 7. In a statement provided to Neowin, Microsoft later removed no. of months from its statement, however.

Today is the last date to upgrade your Windows 7 PC to Windows 10 for free and we highly reccomend upgrading to Windows 10 for keeping your PC secure and supported.
