Microsoft today releases their revenue for FY19 Q1 and it is impressive. The Redmond giant managed to increase their revenue by 19 percent. We are talking a $29.1 billion revenue. The net income was $8.8 billion and increased 34 percent.
As you might have guessed, Microsoft’s growth was in Cloud. Office commercial products and cloud services revenue increased 17% and on the other hand, Office consumer products and cloud services revenue increased 16%. The LinkedIn acquisition looks to be fruitful for Microsoft, the social media for professionals witnessed a revenue increase of 33%. Dynamics, Intelligent Cloud both increased by 20 percent and 24 percent respectively. Among the commercial space, gaming is the most successful and its revenue is up by 44 percent. Otherwise, Windows OEM revenue, Windows commercial products, cloud services revenue, Search advertising revenue, and finally, the Surface revenue are all up by 3 percent, 12 percent, 17 percent, and 14 percent respectively. In personal computing, Microsoft’s revenue was $10.7 billion and increased by 15%.
