Windows 10 version 21H2 aka Sun Valley is supposed to be a significant Windows 10 feature update. Now, another interesting new Windows 10 feature has been revealed in code screenshots.
The feature has been spotted in the Windows 10 preview Build 22353 by ALumia, that posted the screenshot of the code on Twitter.
The feature will bring new options to Power & Sleep settings. As one can notice in the screenshot above, it seems that the auto-locking of screen may be set to happen in human absence after 10 seconds, 30 seconds or 2 minutes. It is also possible that auto-locking time out may happen in human presence after 10 seconds, 30 seconds or 2 minutes.
It will also be possible to set the distance for human presence for auto screen locking and unlocking to take place. In US measurement the options are 1 ft, 2.5 ft and 4 ft away. In Metric system the options are 0.35 m, 0.6 m and 1.2 m away.
The feature may really prove to be useful in corporate setups, when users need to move away from their seats and the PC will automatically lock itself sensing absence of the user. When users come back it can unlock the screen sensing their presence and may ask to enter Id and password.
