The recently released Windows 10 Version 2004 aka May 2020 update is not available for everyone and Microsoft has put compatibility hold on many PCs with some known issues with the May 2020 update. While many of the users have been able to install and run Windows 10 May 2020 update smoothly, there are some whose experience hasn’t been that great, unfortunately.

Many user have reported issues like the update failing to install, causing BSOD (Blue and Black screen of deaths) and GSOD issues, OneDrive, Network, a Black screen on login, and many such issues post-installation of the update.

Users have reported about facing BSOD and GSOD issues after installing Windows 10 Version 2004 update.

Windows 10 update version 2004

Two days ago I uploaded the new 2004 version. I have had 5 BSOD in the last two days. This is on a newly built PC with clean Windows 10 install The PC was working flawlessly with the 1909 version. I updated all Drivers and cannot find any thing else that would cause this. Any suggestions? Anyone else experiencing this?

Windows Update 2004 Error

When I try to update to the 2004 version I see a green screen error. The stop code is System Service Exception. What should I do to fix that?

Some users report about the update failing to install on their PCs even after meeting all criteria.

WIndows 10 Version 2004 Update
I own a relatively new computer, ACER Predator G9-793-73MB.  It came with Windows 10 and has undergone numerous updates without any problems. Today Windows 10 Update offered Version 2004 so I downloaded it and attempted an install. I received error 0xc1900201.  The problem isn’t with my computer.  I see the various shotgun recommendations that cover a wide spectrum of possibilities none of which help.  Microsoft needs to revisit their release, make appropriate corrections and then re-release this update so it will install.

One of the users has issue with OneDrive file-on-demand not working after the update.

Cldflt.sys failed in version 2004
Cldflt.sys failed in version 2004

In advance, I’m not a native english speaker, so maybe my words aren’t very reasonable. I’m trying to get version 2004 now and the problem is that Onedrive failed to activate the file-on-demand function. I just did all of the solutions about cldflt.sys but it still doesn’t work properly.

Any helps or comments for it?

Thank you.

One user has reported about issue with accessing PC from his network, while another is facing other issues with his Network icon and connections.

Windows update 2004
Since updating yesterday to Version 2004 the network (wifi) icon in the system tray is not showing the correct icon and is indicating connected to my correct broadband but with no internet. The issue here is that I am connected to the internet so why is it giving me this problem.

Ive tried rebooting my router, checked the network adaptors and even done a reset and reboot but still nothing has changed. Anyone have a simple solution to this or is it just another Microsoft error to be rectified in due course?

One user has also reported a login issue with a persistent Black screen.
