As expected and reported by us Microsoft is now pushing the Windows 10 Build 10586.63 as cumulative update to non-insider PCs. The cumulative update that brings it is KB3124263 and has many patches KB3124605, KB3124901, KB3124584, KB3124275, KB3118753 and also brings “improvements in the functionality of Windows 10 Version 1511”. Though don’t expect major or noticeable changes. Insiders wouldn’t see this update as they are already on higher build. Check the detailed KB3124263 changelog below.

Summary

This security update for Windows 10 Version 1511 includes improvements in the functionality of Windows 10 Version 1511 and resolves the following vulnerabilities in Windows:

  • 3118753 Microsoft security advisory: Updates for ActiveX kill bits: January 12, 2016

Windows 10 updates are cumulative. Therefore, this package contains all previously released fixes. If you have installed previous updates, only the new fixes that are contained in this package will be downloaded and installed to your computer.

Known issue in this update

Customers running Windows 10 or Windows 10 Version 1511 who have Citrix XenDesktop installed will not be offered the update. Because of a Citrix issue with the XenDesktop software, users who install the update will be prevented from logging on. To stay protected, Microsoft recommends uninstalling the incompatible software and installing this update. Customers should contact Citrix for more information and help with this XenDesktop software issue.
